Overwatch 2 - Hotel Arche

I had the pleasure of making the hotel point in the Monte Carlo map for Overwatch 2. For this area, I was responsible for turning the level design blockout into art, and creating the architecture/tileset for it. Helder Pinto was responsible for most of the rest of the map, and did an incredible job capturing the feel of Monte Carlo. Phil Wang also did a kickass job creating the casino spawn point. Level design was a David Adams special.

This area was challenging to make, because the theme and the level design were very abstract (a futuristic luxury hotel in Monaco), and I had a lot of support from the rest of the team. Al Crutchley was a powerhouse on the concept side exploring different ideas, Dion Rogers gave excellent direction, and the rest of the team helped a ton with feedback and suggestions.

Also, what makes this area look special is all the set dressing and lighting work, that covers the "bare" architecture underneath it :) Lindsay Johnson and Nate Bowden took care of props, Fabien Christin and Peter Tran took care of lighting, and I'm sure many other talented artists touched this area.

All credits go to the Overwatch team, who really rallied on this one to take it to the next level!
